Terms & Conditions
Each trek or tour payment is non-refundable and non-transferable. Once we make trek reservations with the government authorities it is impossible to change any details of the reservation (e.g. name, passport number, or departure date). Once purchased, each trek permit is non-refundable and non-transferable, and the same applies for any entrance fees and train tickets.
- Trek cancellation two days prior to trek departure: loss of trek deposit.
- Trek cancellation after having paid the balance but prior to entering the check point at the start of the trek: only the train ticket from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo or from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes and the bus ticket from Machu Picchu down to Aguas Calientes or bus ticket from Aguas Calientes can be returned to you.
- Once you have started the trek we cannot make any cash refunds. If you are unable to continue the trek for any reason, we will arrange to have you accompanied back to your hotel in Cusco (costs of additional nights’ accommodation, transportation, and extra expenses fall to you).
- In the event of any trek cancellation or additional unforeseen costs, we will be happy to cooperate in providing any necessary documentation to enable a legitimate insurance claim.
Juve Travel Peru is a professional, responsible tour operator with an excellent reputation for quality and service. We have no intention of cancelling any of our clients’ trip reservations. In case it becomes impossible to do the planned trek or tour due to situations outside of Juve Travel Peru’s control (e.g. extreme weather conditions, landslides, strikes, inaccessibility of route, etc.), Juve Travel Peru will propose viable solutions to operate within the available dates, or, if impossible, will then propose an alternative trek or tour.
In the event Juve Travel Peru has to cancel your trek due to failure or inability to purchase your trek permit, we will notify you by email as soon as we become aware of such matters. We may offer an alternative trek departure date if we have one available. If an alternative date is not acceptable, we will refund your trek payment to your card of payment by PayPal less the transfer fees (about 6%).
In order to confirm your trek or tour arrangements, you must provide all requested details. Please make sure that your passport is valid for the time you intend to travel with us. Furthermore, assure that the passport details you send us via email are correct. Changes on short notice will complicate the entrance to Machu Picchu.
Campsites may be different from those described in our website depending on booking time and availability, weather conditions, or government restrictions for safety reasons.
Booking any of our adventure trips means you assume the risks associated with them. Juve Travel Peru accepts no responsibility for these. The client acknowledges that the nature of the tour is adventurous and that such activities may involve a significant amount of personal risk.
It is compulsory that all clients have personal travel insurance. This insurance must cover personal accidents, medical expenses, loss of effects, and all other expenses which might arise as a result of loss, damage, or injury to the client. Juve Travel Peru cannot be held responsible for any accident or loss of personal belongings the customer causes by his/her own actions.
The decision of the company’s guide or representative will be final on all matters likely to endanger the safety and well-being of the tour group. The client must strictly comply with all laws, customs, foreign exchange and drug regulations of all countries visited, and you also agree to travel in accordance with our responsible travel guidelines. If you fail to comply with a decision made by a guide or interfere with the well-being or mobility of the group, the guide or company representative may direct you to leave the tour immediately.
If you have a complaint about your trip, please inform your tour leader or company representative at the time so they can attempt to rectify the matter. If the matter is not resolved by these means, any further complaints should be given to us in writing within five days of the end of the tour.
